Barbra and Frank
Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukah and Happy Holidays.
As usual I am weeks behind schedule. By the time we are ready to greet all our friends and neighbors, the season is long gone. Fortunately I have extended my (personal time line) for the season from the Epiphany to the last play of the Super bowl.
Kevin and I have spent most of our time at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside seeing our new doctors who have replaced our old Orange County team who has retired from practice.
Between hospital visits we continue to be active with the Kiwanis Club providing families food baskets and gifts to the children whose parents are serving time at the local prison.
Also during this time Kevin has suffered from moderate to severe depression due to the results of the presidential election. On the bright side she enjoys the company of millions of other similar women throughout the world who are members of the “Pantsuit Nation” .
And me, I have joined my brothers of the Lakota people and fellow veterans to join the Standing Rock protest of the pipelines running across the sacred grounds of their reservation. When I proposed joining the protest to Gretchen and David, they thought I was joking.
Fortunately both my children took time from their busy schedules to regain control of their parents and settle us down for a much needed winters’ nap.
Love to get together with you at Barone’s (corner of Woodman and Oxnard) great Italian food with our favorite pizza. Megan will come over the hill from Santa Monica to join us.
Take care, enjoy the season and a Happy New Year!
Kevin & Lou
